Exploration & Production

CDX Gas is an independent oil and gas company primarily engaged in the exploration, development and production of natural gas from unconventional natural gas reservoirs (coal, shale and tight sandstone formations) onshore in North America. CDX Gas believes that these unconventional resource plays offer opportunities for steady natural gas production with relatively low development risks. CDX develops these gas resource plays through the use of large-scale drilling programs.

CDX Gas is a technological and strategic leader in the extraction of methane from coalbed formations. We use our patented Z-Pinnate® Horizontal Drilling and Completion System to recover natural gas from coalbeds, both producing the valuable gas resource and ultimately making the subject coal seams safer to mine. The Z-Pinnate System was developed in connection with CDX Gas Appalachian Basin operations. CDX Gas believes that the system is capable of more efficient and less environmentally disruptive extraction of coalbed methane than traditional vertical wells.

CDX’s development activities span major basins of the United States including Appalachian, Ft Worth, Arkoma, Black Warrior, Cahaba, Piceance, Uinta and the San Juan Basin.
